The Films of Barbara Hammer
42 minutes, VHS
Order No. W99341
Four classic celebrations of the female body and spirit. DYKETACTICS is a celebration of lesbian sensuality and sexuality; DOUBLE STRENGTH is an experimental, poetic and passionate study of a lesbian relationship between two trapeze artists. In WOMEN IN LOVE, the filmmaker combines footage shot over a five year period in a collective portrayal of four of her lovers, while in SYNC TOUCH, lesbian images are juxtaposed with common cliches, providing an ironic and humorous inquiry into the nature of the lesbian aesthetic.
SYNC TOUCH is not available on the compilation but only on 16mm.
