About THE LOST TRIBE
Ex-Mormon-lesbian-atheist Sue Ann Post has molded a career as an award-winning stand-up comic from the lurid and toxic brew of tales from her childhood and adolescence. When this one-of-a-kind ex-Mormon travels to Salt Lake City to speak at a conference for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Mormons and learns she has been officially ex-communicated, the outrageous and emotional roller coaster begins.
The LOST TRIBE is now part of
Another Kind of
Faith, our newest collection of films that explore the ways lesbians around
the world are negotiating the conflicts that arise between their religion and
sexuality. More.

WMM AT INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVALS
WMM Executive Director Debra Zimmerman travels to Mexico and the UK to take part
in two important international film festivals.
In October, Zimmerman attends the
Morelia International Film Festival, a young,
up-and-coming festival in Mexico. Zimmerman will give two presentations for THE LAB,
a program for Mexican filmmakers: Master Class on
Distribution of Documentaries and Round Table - Perspectives on Gender: Women and Documentary.
Early next month Zimmerman heads to the
Sheffield Docfest where
she will participate on numerous panels, meet with filmmakers as part of the MEETMARKET, and of course, screen lots of films. She will moderate a master
class with acclaimed filmmaker and producer Jennifer Fox (BEIRUT:
THE LAST HOME MOVIE) who will speak about her latest WMM fiscally sponsored
project, "Flying, Confessions of a Free Woman" - a six-part series for
television. Zimmerman will moderate DOC CHICKS, a panel celebrating women in
documentary filmmaking, and will participate in Off the Box: Alternative
Distribution Models.

NEW FACES AT WMM, STILL LOOKING FOR ONE MORE
During the past year, there have been a few staff transitions at WMM. We are very pleased to announce
that Julie Whang
(formerly Distribution Manager at WMM) will be returning this month as our new Educational Sales and Marketing Manager. We are also very pleased that Jessica Chen Drammeh, who has worked with Kino International, Film Forum and the IFP, has joined our staff as our part time Office Manager.
Welcome to both Julie and Jessica! We are still looking for a fabulous Administrative Manager to replace Karolyn
Reddy who moved back to her hometown of Syracuse. If you know someone who you think would be a good fit, please
direct them to the announcement,
here.
