Boxing champ Michele Aboro grew up in South London, where life
was never easy, let alone for a mixed-race lesbian girl. But her
tenacious spirit and an uncanny talent for combat sports let her
put a difficult past behind her and sign a contract with the
biggest boxing promoter in Europe. She went on to win 21 fights,
18 with a knockout. But her career came to a sudden halt when
she was deemed "unpromotable."
