Sisters in Law Has Audiences Cheering
Award-winning Film Now Available for Booking

"...One of the best documentaries of all times ...
one of the great documentary filmmakers of our day."
- Stella Pence, Telluride Film Festival

After sold-out screenings at Telluride and critical acclaim at the Toronto and Vancouver International Film Festivals, WMM is pleased to announce the highly anticipated release of the award-winning documentary SISTERS IN LAW and its US Premiere at the Hamptons International Film Festival.

T
he only doc selected for Directors' Fortnight at Cannes this year, SISTERS IN LAW came away with two prestigious awards, the Prix Art et Essai and Special Mention Europa Cinemas. Kim Longinotto's latest work (co-directed with Florence Ayisi) is a totally fascinating, often hilarious look at the work of one small courthouse in Cameroon. With fierce compassion, the tough-minded state prosecutor Vera Ngassa and Court President Beatrice Ntuba handle cases of abuse with wisdom, wisecracks and justice in fair measure. A cross between Judge Judy and The No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, SISTERS IN LAW has audiences cheering when justice is served.

Upcoming screenings include:

Hamptons International Film Fest Oct 21 & 23
Hawaii International Film Festival Oct 23 & 25
Virginia Film Festival Oct 28
Margaret Mead Film Festival Nov 5
St. Louis International Film Festival Nov 13
High Falls Film Festival (TBA)
Denver International Film Festival (TBA)
