Patricia Plattner

Patricia Plattner is a Swiss born filmmaker. She was educated in Geneva at the Fine Arts School (ESAV) and University. Before making films, she worked as a painter, a visual art performer and as a graphic designer.Since 1985, she concentrates on cinema: writing, directing, producing and coproducing, when she cofounded LIGHT NIGHT PRODUCTION Ltd.
She makes both features and documentaries. If there is a common thread in her films, it is that most of them are not made in Switzerland ! She derives her inspiration from the world at large and from her innate curiosity for foreign cultures. Her next film (a feature) however will be shot in Switzerland which is to her as exotic as any other places.(06/00)
