We’re excited to share that two films made with the support of WMM’s Production Assistance Program were recognized at this year’s IDFA Forum Awards!
THE CORD, directed by Nolwenn Hervé, received the IDFA Forum Award for Best Rough Cut Project. The jury praised the film for its raw emotional power, intimate camerawork, and deeply human portrayal of a woman anchoring her community through adversity. Along with the award, the project receives a €1,500 cash prize and closed captioning and subtitles provided by inVision Subtitling.
DREAMS OF THE WILD OAKS, directed by Marjan Khosravibaledi, earned a Special Mention in the same category. Jurors highlighted the film’s outstanding cinematic style and its ability to elevate a local story with universal resonance.
