The Camden International Film Festival (CIFF) has just revealed its lineup, featuring 5 WMM films and filmmakers.
NO MONEY, NO HONEY (dir. Nicole Costa), made with the support of the Production Assistance Program, will have its world premiere in competition for the Cinematic Vision Award. The film is a portrait of Máxima, a sex worker in 90’s and early 2000’s Miami who documented her wild escapades with her glamorous trans Latinx friends. Revisiting VHS tapes decades later, she reflects on where everyone ended up, what they carried with them, and the ghosts that linger.
TO HOLD A MOUNTAIN (dir. Biljana Tutorov and Petar Glomazić), also made with the support of the Production Assistance Program and which won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Documentary at Sundance, will also be in the line-up.
And seven films supported by the Production Assistance Program will be pitching or taking industry meetings: CAPTIONS WILL BE NEEDED (dir. Natalia Almada); TESTIMONY (dir. Maya Newell); FEU DE LUNE (dir. Dominic Yarabe); WE ARRIVE WITH FIRE (dir. Roni Jo Draper); TAXI DRIVER (dir. Sara Chishti); THE ANGRIEST BLACK MAN IN AMERICA (dir. Nimco Sheikhaden), and VENA ACUÁTICA (dir. Amada Torruella).
Additionally, Juliana Schatz Preston and Martine Granby, both of whom are currently participating in WMM’s Production Assistance Program with other films, have new projects premiering – RARE BIRD and SAME WATER, respectively. Viridiana Lieberman, co-director of WMM-distributed film FATTITUDE, has a new film premiering as well – JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT.
And THEY’RE HERE, a new film from Production Assistance Program alum Laura Poitras, will also have its North American Premiere.
CIFF XXII runs September 17-20, 2026, in Camden and Rockland, Maine, showcasing an array of compelling stories from around the world.
