Meet the Funder: Women In Film Los Angeles with Maikiko JamesWomen in Film Los Angeles (WIF) advocates for and advances the careers of women working in the screen industries – to achieve parity and transform culture. They also support women in funding their narrative and feature-length documentaries and shorts! On April 18th, Maikiko James from WIF joins Women Make Movies for the first time ever to unpack all that Women In Film is about and what they offer. The WIF Finishing Fund for narrative and documentary projects opens up in April and we’ll discuss how to make a strong application plus other funding opportunities. Recently funded films include Decade of Fire, End of the Line: The Women of Standing Rock, Rooting for Roona, Santuario, How to Have an American Baby, Like a Rolling Stone: The Life & Times of Ben Fong-Torres and more… You don’t have to be a member to submit for funding!
