The 2023 Sheffield International Documentary Film Festival, the UK’s leading documentary festival, is happening this week, and 7 films from WMM filmmakers will screen!
Three films made with the support of our Production Assistance Program will premiere:
- RICHLAND (dir. Irene Lusztig), International Premiere and International Competition;
- RAZING LIBERTY SQUARE (dir. Katja Esson), European Premiere; and
- MILISUTHANDO (dir. Milisuthando Bongela), UK Premiere.
Three new films from WMM Filmmakers and alum will also premiere:
- DALTON’S DREAM (dir. Kim Longinotto, maker of 17 films distributed by WMM) World Premiere;
- UNCHARTED (dir. Beth Aala), International Premiere; and
- GREAT PHOTO, LOVELY LIFE (dir. Amanda Mustard), UK Premiere.
In addition, BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME (dir. Chrissie Stansfield), an early film from the WMM collection, produced by the Sheffield Film Co-op, is screening as part of a special program.
The Sheffield International Documentary Film Festival runs June 14-19.
