Renowned Colombian filmmaker Marta Rodriguez has devoted her career to exposing human rights violations in her native country. She completed one of her earliest, ground-breaking documentaries in 1972. THE BRICKMAKERS, which she made with her husband, Jorge Silva, was a documentary on poor, working-class, Ecuadorian families. More recently, Rodriguez has completed projects such as NUNCA MÁS (NEVER) (2001). NUNCA MÁS was filmed in collaboration with acclaimed Ecuadorian filmmaker Gustavo Guayasamin. (10/09)
