Women Make Movies at DC/DOX 2026

Twelve films made with the support of our Production Assistance Program are in the line-up at DC/DOX, taking place June 11–14, 2026 in Washington, D.C. In addition to films that premiered earlier this year at Sundance, SXSW, Frameline, and Tribeca, this will include the World Premiere of THE ENDLESS FRONTIER (dir. by the Emmy, Peabody, and DuPont Award-winning director Marilyn Ness) and the U.S. Premieres of LOVE APPTUALLY (dir. Shalini Kantayya, filmmaker of acclaimed WMM releases CODED BIAS and TIKTOK, BOOM.) and THE SANDBOX (dir. Kenya-Jade Pinto).

Additionally, nine Program Alum films will also be premiering and screening at the festival including the Opening Night Film, GIVE ME THE BALL!, by Liz Garbus and the World Premieres of SHEESH: A TAYLOR LOVE STORY by Ramona Diaz (also director of WMM-distributed film THE LEARNING) and FREEFALL: A RECKONING FOR BOEING by Rory Kennedy.

New films from Program alumni Maite Alberdi, Ramona Diaz, Sara Dosa, Liz Garbus, Rory Kennedy, Alysa Nahmias, Dawn Porter, Lynne Sachs, and Michèle Stephenson will also be premiering and screening at the festival.
