11 WMM Filmmakers Nominated for Emmy Awards!

Eleven WMM Filmmakers have been nominated for the 75th annual EMMY Awards, including two WMM releases: TIKTOK, BOOM. (dir. Shalini Kantayya, whose previous film CODED BIAS was also Emmy-nominated), nominated for a News & Docs EMMY in the “Outstanding Business and Economic Documentary” category; and  APART (dir. Jennifer Redfearn), nominated for a News & Docs EMMY in the “Outstanding Politics & Government Documentary” category!

TIKTOK, BOOM. (dir. Shalini Kantayya) balances a genuine interest in the TikTok community and its innovative mechanics with a healthy skepticism around the security issues, global political challenges, and racial biases behind the platform. APART offers an intimate portrait of three women facing the challenge of mothering their children from prison and upon release.
